| ℹ️ Potted Plants were significantly updated in version 15.0. This article reflects the current system. |
Potted plants let you grow flowers and other plants in and around your home. Each plant has its own needs — light, water, and a unique happiness tag — and will reward you with pigment and other materials as it grows. Visitors can help with gardening too.
How many plants can I have?
Your Potted Plants Cap starts at 5 plants and seeds. You can increase it up to 25 by levelling up your Home Prestige— up to 50 plants at Home Prestige Level 19. More levels and higher caps will be added in future updates.
What do plants need?
Every plant needs at least two things to stay happy: a light source and water. As of version 15.0, each plant type also has a unique additional happiness tag, so different plants respond to different conditions in your home.
| Need | How to meet it |
| Light | Place plants near a window or light source appropriate for their type. |
| Water | Use a watering can, or place water-source décor items nearby. |
| Unique happiness tag | Varies by plant. Inspect a plant to see its tag and how to satisfy it. |
Water sources
The watering can has updated prices, capacity, and daily recharge amounts. Several décor items also now function as automatic water sources for nearby plants:
- Fountain
- Sprinklers
- Spigot
- Water pump
| 💡 Tip: Place a water-source décor item near a cluster of plants to keep them all watered at once without using your watering can daily. |
Can plants die?
Some plants are marked as 'fragile'. A fragile plant will die if it goes without water for too long. Non-fragile plants become unhappy and stop producing, but will not die. Inspect a plant to see whether it is fragile.
| ⚠️ A confirmation step has been added to the 'Destroy Plants' option to prevent accidental deletions. You will be asked to confirm before any plant is destroyed. |
How do visitors interact with plants?
Visitors can fertilize your plants and play music for them — both of which boost plant happiness. Visitors no longer cause your plants to dry out faster simply by being present.
What do plants produce?
Flowers and plants produce pigment as they grow, which can be used to dye clothing and décor. Flower Seeds and Plants display the pigment colour they will produce before you plant them, so you can plan your garden palette in advance.
