ℹ️ Introduced in version 15.0. If you played before 15.0 and had not yet been assigned to a Waystation, your progress was reset so you can experience the new introductory quests.
Your home is a personal space that belongs entirely to you. Unlike a Waystation — which is shared with a group of other players — your home is yours alone to build, decorate, and invite people into. As of version 15.0, your home takes the form of a remote mountain peak in the Entry Lands, with room to grow in any direction you choose.
Where is my home?
Your home sits on a private mountain peak in the Entry Lands — separate from the Waystations and shared areas where other players live. You can travel to it at any time from the Travel menu. Maya also lives there permanently, so you will always have company.
ℹ️ Your home is independent of your Waystation assignment. Moving to a different Waystation does not affect your home.
How do I build and expand my home?
Use Build Mode to place building pieces that create new rooms, change the structure of existing ones, or remove parts of the original layout entirely. The outdoor area around your home can also be decorated — pre-placed foliage options are available to start, with more ways to acquire plants and décor coming in future updates.
To open Build Mode in your home, tap the hammer icon from the main HUD while inside your home area. The same tools you use to build in a Waystation — snapping, placement preview, group moving — are all available here. . A 'send everything to storage' button is also available in Home Build Mode if you want to start fresh.
⚠️ When you first loaded into 15.0, all of your existing furniture, decoration, and building pieces were automatically moved to your home storage. Open your storage from the home menu to retrieve them.
How do Room Modules and Recipe Bundles work?
Version 15.1 added Room Modules and Crafting Recipe Bundles, both available via Roomie.
- Room Modules — Mr. Kit's Catalog now includes fully decorated rooms (living room, bathroom, kitchen, with more to come). Talk to Roomie to browse and purchase them.
- Crafting Recipe Bundles — Buy bundles from Roomie's shop to unlock associated crafting recipes in your crafting table. You can see which bundles unlock which recipes directly from the table.
How do wall items work?
As of version 15.0, wall items — posters, framed pictures, mirrors, and similar decorations — are now flat. They sit flush against walls with no gap, and can be layered on top of each other or combined with freestanding items.
Some examples of what layering makes possible:
- A bear portrait placed behind an antler mirror.
- A coat rack placed on top of a flat wall hanging.
- Bookshelves positioned directly against the wall without a visible gap.
💡 Floor items can now be placed flush to walls too — the unplaceable gap between wall and floor items no longer exists.
Who can visit my home?
You have full control over who can enter your home. Visiting permissions are set independently of Friendship levels — you do not need to reach a certain Friendship level with someone before they can be allowed in. You can set separate default permissions for friends and for strangers in your home settings.
To change your visiting permissions, open your home settings from the home menu. The Travel menu has also been updated to make it easier to find and visit friends' homes directly.
💡 Visitors can help with your potted plants — they can fertilize plants and play music for them, but they will not cause your plants to dry out faster by being present.
What is Home Prestige?
Home Prestige is a progression track tied to your home. As you level it up, your home décor limit increases and new décor and building items become available to purchase in shops, and Wallpaper and Flooring Unlocks become available.
How to earn Home Prestige
You earn Home Prestige by:
- Completing Mr. Kit's decorating challenges.
- Clearing land around your mountain peak.
- Receiving likes on your home from friends and visitors.
Track your current Home Prestige progress on the bulletin board near the trolley in your home.
