Player safety and community guidelines

At Spry Fox, we have three main goals:

1. Make the world a happier place
2. Help people connect with their old friends and make new ones. 
3. Give people more ways to express and challenge themselves.

To achieve that, we need the help from our community to respect and adhere to the rules, as well as encourage others to follow them too, as they should be fair and applied equally to everyone.

The Community Guidelines listed below should be followed by players everywhere, including in-game and in environments outside the game.

1. Be respectful and kind

To create a community where players can thrive, create real connections and express themselves, it is necessary that all players act kindly towards others.

Disagreements, conflict and diverging opinions should be handled with respect.

That also means that bullying, harassment, stalking, targeting, acting inappropriately, sexual suggestions, trespassing personal boundaries or any other type of derogatory, intimidating or threatening action is forbidden and will not be tolerated.

We reserve the right to remove anyone from the community if they are disrupting the peace.

2. Intolerance and Discrimination

We do not tolerate any form of hate or discrimination towards any race, ethnicity, color, religion, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, disability, origin, location, or group. That includes demeaning, marginalizing, using hateful language (such as slurs), belittling causes, groups or users, and micro-aggressions.

The team reserves the right to interfere in discussions and delete any comments that question that value. Healthy debate regarding game features and character expressions in game are of course ok, but argumentative discourse and personal attacks are absolutely out of question.

3. Inappropriate Content

To create an environment where all players can thrive means that some content is not appropriate to all audiences, and should not be shared within our community.

Do not add any mentions or images depicting explicit or graphic content, such as pornography, explicit nudity, torture, animal cruelty, death or mutilation in the real world within the game or any official Spry Fox channels. 

That includes but is not limited to chat communications, profile names, profile pictures, statuses, comments on social media, user-generated content such as waystation murals, etc.

4. Dangerous or illegal activities

Do not promote, encourage, endorse or engage in dangerous or illegal activities. 

Threats to harm yourself or others are taken seriously. If you believe another player is in danger, please report it immediately to the Player Support team.

5. Cheats and Exploits

Any attempt to cheat, promote cheats, third-party software, exploit bugs and issues, automate in-game activities, or get unfair advantage will result in action from the team that could range from message removal to permanent account ban.

If you found a bug, please report it through our #bug-reports channel on Discord.

6. Personal Information

Do not share personal information about yourself or others. 

Do not ask for or give personal information that could be used to identify yourself or others, such as real name, address, phone number, email address, social media handles, IRL photos or anything else that applies. Respect other people’s privacies.

Threats of sharing personal information of others will be actioned.

7. No advertising 

Do not use any systems provided by Spry Fox inside or outside the game for the purpose of self promotion or advertising out of context, regardless if it is promoting yourself, your social media profiles, other products, services or companies. 

That includes but is not limited to posting your social media handles, links to videos, Discord servers and communities, promotion of products and services (regardless if provided by you or other companies), and advertisements for other games unpromptedly, without any sort of context or unrelated to Spry Fox games and products.

Crediting fan-made creations related to Spry Fox games and products, such as fanart, cosplay, fan music and fanfictions, as well as sharing videos, articles, or blogs is allowed, as long as it is done on appropriate channels.

8. Names and communication

All communication inside and outside the game are subjected to the above rules. Please express yourself in appropriate, non-disruptive and inoffensive ways in your in-game name, status, profile picture and overall communication.

Names and profile pictures might be changed by our team if they violate the rules.

9. User-Generated Content

Some activities in-game and on Spry Fox’s official channels may allow users to create their own content in different formats, including images, text, videos and other types of media, as well as building and decoration placement. 

User-generated content in these activities are also subject to our Community Guidelines. Any content that is considered inappropriate, hateful, discriminating, dangerous, or illegal will be removed, and action may be taken against the account.

10. Do not impersonate others

Impersonating other players, streamers, content creators, celebrities, government officials, Spry Fox team members or anyone else, including for parody purposes, is absolutely prohibited. We aim to celebrate genuine self-expression and real connections, so please use this opportunity to share your true authentic self with others!

Spry Fox reserves the right to change, edit, remove or add rules at any time. Please keep an eye out for any changes, as not knowing the rules do not exempt you from the consequences of breaking them.

Consequences

Breaking the rules and guidelines listed above will result in consequences. These measures are intended to protect and keep the community safe in Spirit Crossing, at the same time that it hopes to reform and educate players, hoping that it allows them to take the time to reflect on their bad behavior and improve it.

Some of the corrective measures include, but are not limited to:

• Manual change of name or profile picture;
• Temporary or permanent suspension from Spirit Crossing;
• Removal from servers, social media channels or other official communication methods run by Spry Fox;
• Losing access to the game, including all non-transferable items you may have acquired;

If you own more than one account, we may take action against all of your accounts.

Appeals should be made through the Support Center. Harassing or threatening Player Support agents can result in further action taken against the account.

Account Safety

Please keep your account safe and private. Do not share the credentials or personal information from your account or the accounts of others.

If your account was shared and rules were broken in it, action will be taken regardless of who was accessing the account at the time, so please protect yourself and your account.
