Where can I find my Cozy Grove logs and save files?

iOS (iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch)
If the game shut down unexpectedly, please follow the instructions on this page to get your crash log. (Don't bother if the app is still running but seems stuck—a crash log hasn't been generated this time and you'll probably just dig up an old crash log instead.)
Non-crash logs cannot be accessed on this platform.
Get save files from your device (to send to Support): Please follow the instructions on this page.
This only works on game version 1.8.1 and later, which is already available for all iOS devices.
IMPORTANT: Beginning in version 5.0.0, the converted save file won't work on your computer unless the computer version of the game also owns the New Neighbears DLC. This is because Apple Arcade installations get the New Neighbears DLC content for free, and thus the iOS saves will have content (e.g., butterflies and new bears) that won't work on installations that don't also own the New Neighbears DLC.
Apple Arcade installations on Macs have the New Neighbears DLC for free, but Steam and Epic Games Store versions of the game don't—it has to be purchased on those platforms. But if the computer owns the New Neighbears DLC then the transfer should work just fine.
Related, transferring an Apple Arcade save IS NOT a way to get the New Neighbears DLC content for free on your Windows computer. The save simply won't run unless the computer owns the DLC, too.
Import save files into your device: Please follow the instructions on this page.
This only works on game version 2.1.0 and later, which is already available for all iOS devices.
Note that you can only import certain save files that we've prepackaged for players.
Exit the game. The files may not get fully written to unless you exit the game.
(Don't launch the game again until you find the files, because they will get overwritten each time you start the game.)
Your save files and logs are in this folder: C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\LocalLow\Spry Fox\Cozy Grove
Replace "USERNAME" with the name of the Windows account you're currently logged in with.
The AppData folder is a hidden folder that you might have to make visible using the instructions here.
Once you access that folder, these are the files of interest. We always want the current log and previous log, but please send only one of the save files (the one for the save slot with the problem) and its backups:
Current Log: Player.log
Previous log: Player-prev.log
Save Slot 1: cg_save.sf . Note that there is no "_1" in this file name!
Save Slot 2: cg_save_2.sf
Save Slot 3: cg_save_3.sf
Backups: The names begin the same as the slots they are backing up, but have _bak, _bak1, _bak2, _bak3, _bak4, and _bak5 just before the ".sf" extension.
E.g., cg_save_bak2.sf is one of the backups for Save Slot 1.
E.g., cg_save_2_bak.sf is one of the backups for Save Slot 2.
We usually won't need this file but I'll mention this anyway just in case your circumstance requires it.
Special "last save without the DLC" backups: Once a save file incorporates the DLC content, it's not allowed to be used without owning the DLC. These save files contain your last state prior to incorporating the DLC, in case for some reason you ever go back to not owning the DLC (e.g., if you get it refunded). The game makes this backup automatically when, as a DLC owner, you first load a save that hasn't previously been used with the DLC.
cg_save_bak_BearPackage.sf is the "last save without the DLC" backup for Save Slot 1. Note that there is no "_1" in this file name!
cg_save_2_bak_BearPackage.sf is the "last save without the DLC" backup for Save Slot 2.
cg_save_3_bak_BearPackage.sf is the "last save without the DLC" backup for Save Slot 3.
Mac
If the game crashed, a window titled something like "Problem Report for Cozy Grove" may pop up a few seconds later. The window will have some technical text. This technical text is the crash log. Please select all of the technical text (what you initially see in the window is just a fraction of it), copy it, and paste it into an email or text document.
If the game is still running, exit the game. The files may not get fully written to unless you exit the game.
(Don't launch the game again until you find the files, because they will get overwritten each time you start the game.)
We do not write non-crash logs on this platform.
You can find the save files in this folder (use the Finder (CMD+Shift+G) ): ~/Library/Containers/Cozy Grove/Data/Library/Application Support/com.spryfox.colorsoftheforest
You must include the tilde (~) at the beginning! You'll also find a Library folder if you don't include the tilde, but that's a different, incorrect folder.
The ~/Library folder might be hidden, in which case you will have to unhide it before you can drill down into the other folders. Likewise for any other folders that don't seem to be there.
Please send only one of the save files (the one for the save slot with the problem) and its backups:
Save Slot 1: cg_save.sf . Note that there is no "_1" in this file name!
Save Slot 2: cg_save_2.sf
Save Slot 3: cg_save_3.sf
Backups: The names begin the same as the slots they are backing up, but have _bak, _bak1, _bak2, _bak3, _bak4, and _bak5 just before the ".sf" extension.
E.g., cg_save_bak2.sf is one of the backups for Save Slot 1.
E.g., cg_save_2_bak.sf is one of the backups for Save Slot 2.
(There are no special "last save without the DLC" backups like there are on Windows, so don't bother looking for them)
tvOS (Apple TV)
Logs and save files cannot be accessed on this platform
BUT, if you have an iOS device or Mac that can play Cozy Grove, you can transfer your save to the device/Mac, then follow the iOS/Mac instructions on this page and get your save file that way. Likewise, you could import a save into your iOS device or Mac, then transfer your save to the Apple TV.
Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, PlayStation 4
