You get three things when you pay for Unlimited Turns in the mobile game. Note that you keep the benefits of Unlimited Turns even when you get to the Game Over state and have to start a new game!
1. Unlimited Turns
First, you get Unlimited Turns. Play for as long as you like without ever having to buy more turns or wait for them to recharge!
versus
2. Unlimited Boom Town games
Second, you get unlimited access to the Boom Town map. Other players also have access to the Boom Town map, but they may have to watch ads or wait for a while between Boom Town games.
3. Extra Maps
Third, you get access to a number of maps that are locked for people who do not have this feature. The list is subject to change, but currently includes the following six (6) maps:
Robin Bear (introduced in v1.89)
- 6x6 map.
- 1 Storehouse square in the upper-left corner.
- 35 playable squares.
- Ninja Bears are replaced by Robin Bears. Robin Bears have special rules for movement and scoring. Click here to read more about Robin Bear.
- The early game is harder, but good bear managers should find it easy to score points once they get the initial band of Robin Bears under control. If you set things up correctly, you can earn hundreds of thousands of points in a single bear-killing move!
Practice Mode (introduced in v1.34)
- 7x6 map.
- 1 Storehouse square in the upper-left corner.
- 41 playable squares.
- No ninja bears!!!
- Potentially an easier and high-scoring map since there is more real estate to build on and no ninjas jumping into undesirable places.
City on a Lake (introduced in v1.2)
- 6x6 map.
- 3 water squares in the middle—no pieces can be placed here.
- 1 Storehouse square in the middle near the water.
- 32 playable squares.
- A challenging map as you cannot build in the center of the board.
Peaceful Valley (introduced in v1.2)
- 5x5 map.
- 1 Storehouse square in the upper-left corner.
- 24 playable squares.
- No normal bears!
- No ninja bears!!!
- Potentially an easier map as there are no pesky bears or ninja bears meandering into places you'd prefer they didn't go.
- Potentially a tougher map as there is less space to work with.
- Fewer Imperial Bots than in other maps—the Empire knows you don't have any bears to kill.
- No bears means no creating gravestones, churches, or cathedrals. If you typically build cathedrals to create treasure chests, you're out of luck!
Bear Attack (introduced in v1.21)
- 6x5 map.
- 1 Storehouse square in the upper-left corner.
- 29 playable squares.
- 50% more bears!
- Potentially a good map for earning coins as bears can be turned into gravestones → churches → cathedrals → treasure chests.
- Potentially a tougher map as there are more pesky bears and less space to work with.
Lakes (Classic) (introduced in v1.87)
- 6x6 map.
- 1 Storehouse square in the upper-left corner.
- 35 playable squares.
- A special placeable item: the Lake. (Folks who played the original e-Ink Kindle version of the game may remember this item.) When you place a lake, the square on which you placed it changes to look like water. Bears and ninja bears can't step on lakes, but you can build on them whenever you want to.
- Potentially an easier map since you can wall off bears with lakes, but still build on the lakes whenever you wish.
