A message from our studio head on 2022-07-27
Hi everyone - as some of you already know, Snap made the decision to remove Alphabear Hustle from the Snapchat games "Drawer" earlier this year [on or around 2022-04-11], and as a result the game's player population has all but been eliminated. It is unfortunately no longer practical for us to maintain the game, so we'll be sunsetting it this week, but we want to thank all of you for playing it and we hope that someday in the future we can bring some version of Hustle back for all of you to enjoy on some other platform.

I'm sorry folks, even if everyone active in [the Discord channel where this comment was originally posted] and their friends playing ABH paid $30 per month it wouldn't come close to covering the cost of keeping the game up to date and in compliance with platform policies.
. . .
We would love to bring ABH or something like it to other platforms. Porting isn't as simple as it might appear, especially when porting a game from one engine to a completely different one (which would likely be necessary in this case), and "sell it in the app store and profit off some ads" is also much, much easier to say than to do (Alphabear 2 has ads and IAP and never earned enough to thrive in the brutal appstore ecosystem.) So it's something we want to do but it is important for ya'll to understand that it's neither easy nor cheap and far from an obvious slam dunk.
Appreciate the love ya'll have for the game. [heart emoji] We are proud of what we tried to do with it and we have not forgotten either you few who stuck with it or the ideals underlying the game itself. We just need to find ways to explore this space in a financially viable way.
