Some people have been asking about the various permissions that Bushido Bear requests. On this page we discuss some of the permissions most commonly asked about and why the app requests them.
Note that it is not practical for us to make separate versions of the game for folks who don't like a particular permission and would be willing to give up the feature associated with that permission. We thus build the game with all features included, and permissions are asked accordingly.
(Permission names and descriptions were copied from what Google Play Store displayed to an Android 4.3 tablet or from this page. The names and descriptions you see may differ slightly depending on how and when you look them up.)
Permission: Photos/Media/Files
Description
An app can use files or data stored on your device. Photos/Media/Files access may include the ability to:
- Read the contents of your USB storage (example: SD card)
- Modify or delete the contents of your USB storage
- Format external storage
- Mount or unmount external storage
Why Bushido Bear Requests It
This permission is needed to enable sharing of pictures when you, for example, unlock a new bear or reach a new highest wave. Without the permission, sharing doesn't work properly.
