The game is not respecting my Alerts/Notifications setting (Bushido Bear)

Some people are experiencing a bug where their Alerts/Notifications setting appears to be correct, but the game does not seem to be respecting the setting. If this is happening to you, the following workaround may help:

1. Open the Options Menu by clicking the button with the gear icon.
   
2. If the Alerts button already says what you desire...
   
3. ...temporarily set it to the undesired setting...
   
4. ...and then set it back to the desired setting.
   
5. Done! The app should now behave in accordance with what the button says.
