Time Warps are one of several ways to get new bears. (Another way is by playing Story Mode; however there are quite a few bears that you will never get if you only play Story Mode.)
As of 2018-09-04 there are three time machines in the Time Warps screen. Clockwise from the top of the picture, they are:
- The Golden Time Warp costs Coins to use and offers a chance of getting the highest-rarity bears. The Golden Time Warp doesn't give Common bears; it only gives Rares, Epics, and Legendaries. They might be bears you don't yet own, or you might rediscover (i.e., level-up) a bear you already own.
- See below for more details on the Golden Time Warp's drop rates.
- The Berry Time Warp costs Berries to use. You will either get a Common Bear you don't yet own, or you will rediscover a bear of any rarity that you do already own. Higher-rarity bears have a lesser chance of being rediscovered than lower-rarity bears.
- The Free Time Warp can normally be used once every 24 hours (specifically, after you use it we start a 24-hour countdown until you can use it again), although you can watch ads to reduce the delay and thus use it more often. The Free Time Warp will let you rediscover Commons, Rares, and Epics that you already own. You cannot get new bears from the Free Time Warp.
More info on Golden Time Warp drop rates
The following are the average probabilities that each bear rarity will be awarded from the Golden Time Warp: Rare bear: 88%, Epic bear: 11%, Legendary bear: 1%. These values reflect the fact that your chances of getting Epic and Legendary bears increase every time you receive a Rare, to compensate for runs of bad luck.
