How to send us your logs (Steambirds: Alliance)

If the game will let you do this

  • Please submit a bug report by pressing Ctrl+Shift+R while the game is running.
    • Ctrl+Shift+R is the default. If you remapped this command, then you should use whatever keys you remapped it to.

If you cannot do that

On Mac

  1. Exit the game. The logs may not get fully written to unless you exit the game.
  2. (Don't launch the game again until you find the logs, because they will get overwritten each time you start the game.)
  3. The log should be here: ~/Library/Logs/Unity/Player.log
  4. Email the "Player.log" file to support@spryfox.com

On Windows

  1. Exit the game. The logs may not get fully written to unless you exit the game.
  2. (Don't launch the game again until you find the logs, because they will get overwritten each time you start the game.)
  3. You can find the logs somewhere like: C:\Users\USERNAME\.SteamworldLogs\short.log and C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\SpryFox\Steambirds Alliance\Player.log
    • The AppData folder is a hidden folder that you might have to make visible using the instructions here.
    • The main files of interest are output_log.txt, short.log, and short.log.old.
    • If you see a crash.dmp or error.log file, these are of interest if their "Date modified" field is roughly the time you encountered the problem. Otherwise, they are not of interest.
  4. Email the files of interest to support@spryfox.com
